About Robyn
Robyn K. Harder is the founder and principal designer of RK Florals, a fine art floral design studio serving clients in the Midwest and California’s Central Coast, with studios in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Monterey, California. With over a decade of experience as a professional floral designer, Robyn is known for her painterly, romantic approach—creating floral work inspired by Dutch Master still life paintings, where light, shadow, and composition give even the quietest elements a sense of reverence.
Her relationship with flowers began early, shaped by the seasonal rhythm of her mother’s garden, and evolved through a lifelong engagement with art and literature. With a degree in English literature and more than ten years in public relations, Robyn came to floristry seeking a more ephemeral language—one spoken through form, texture, and restraint.
Over the past ten years, Robyn has built a respected career as a fine art wedding and event florist, traveling internationally to study under master florists and celebrated designers. Her work gathers influence from European landscapes, wild meadows, and the formal elegance of historic estates, while remaining grounded in seasonality and sense of place.
Each RK Florals design is crafted with an editorial eye and an emotional undercurrent. From intimate weddings to large-scale installations and events, Robyn approaches every project as a distinct narrative—thoughtfully composed to feel natural, expressive, and enduring.
For those seeking more than flowers, RK Florals offers fine art floral design shaped by art history, experience, and quiet impact.

“I get to work with one of the Lord’s most beautiful creations, how lucky am I?”
I am often asked ‘what do you enjoy most about what you do?’
My answer is and always will be, I believe I get to work with one of the Lord’s most beautiful creations, how lucky am I?
- Robyn K. Harder
I love the effortless movement and delicate lines that so many flowers have, yet most struggle to see in traditional floral designs. So often arrangements are simply flowers that are overcrowded and in a tight formation. So much loveliness is lost.
When I design, I look at the natural movement of the stems and allow the flowers to guide the arrangement.
Also, understanding the importance of space for each bloom to breathe, makes it possible to showcase the textures, layers, and movement— ultimately finishing with a vessel filled with beautiful dancing blooms.
